Helping the Homeless
Bringing Hope and Help to Those in Need.
At Lighthouse Community Centre in Liskeard, we’re dedicated to reaching out with compassion and practical support to those experiencing homelessness. Through one-to-one support, we listen, encourage and help individuals find the right pathways toward stability.

We are committed to offering hope and practical help to those facing homelessness or hardship. Our team provides one-to-one support to individuals in need, offering a listening ear, guidance and encouragement as they take steps toward stability and independence.

We supply essential items such as food, clothing, sleeping bags, tents and toiletries, ensuring that no one in our community goes without the basics. We also run a regular homeless soup run in Plymouth, delivering warm meals, hot drinks, essential items and a friendly chat to people living on the streets.

Beyond immediate relief, we work closely with local organisations and agencies to signpost individuals to housing services, healthcare and other forms of support. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, helps build a stronger, more caring community — one where everyone is seen, valued and supported.

Thanks to recent funding, we will soon be able to trial two homeless pods, enabling us to offer more substantial, temporary accommodation and wraparound support for up to four individuals each year.
